Important Updates about DOI in citations:
- You must put the DOI to the end of your citation in your reference list if a DOI is available, regardless whether you used the online version or the print version.
- If you do not see a DOI in the database citation or on the first page of the article, go to http://www.crossref.org/guestquery to search for the DOI.
- If you still cannot find the DOI, include the citation in the reference list without any additional information. The reference should look the same as the reference for a print version of the work.
- Follow the current recommendations of the International DOI Foundation to format DOIs in your reference list:
- The string “https://doi.org/” is a way of presenting a DOI as a link, and “xxxxx” refers to the DOI number
