Where to Start

The library home page is a great place to start research for most undergraduate assignments. You can use the "quick search" box for finding journal articles, print or online books, streaming video and images across most of the library's provided content with one search.

Search Tips

  • It can be helpful to write down a list of terms related to your project, then think of synonyms and associated words and phrases.
  • When you find good material, notice what keywords are used in those resources.
  • When links to related subjects are offered, explore those.
  • Also, look for links to related materials, such as articles cited in a useful article that you've found.
  • You may need to look at resources in other subjects.  For example, if you are giving a presentation on French impressionist art, try the art and art history guides listed in the subject guides list.
