Style manuals for the most common formats (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.) are available in print in the library or online.
These tools help organize and retrieve citations for books, articles, and Web sites. They then work with word-processing software to create properly formatted footnotes, citations, and bibliographies.
In Ebsco databases, just use the "Cite" tool at the right of any article's detailed description to see the correct citation formatting for many styles (APA, MLA, etc.). Make sure to proof-read these for accuracy, though! See the video for more:
In Google Scholar, just click the "Cite" link below the article description in your results list for MLA, APA, and Chicago style citation format. Also, use this link to import citations into EndNote or RefWorks. Again, make sure to proofread these for accuracy.
