Guest User Policy

  • Guest users agree to follow the policies of the library.

  • First priority is to John Carroll University students, faculty, and staff.

  • A photo ID is required for each visit.  The “visitor” badge must be visible at all times.

  • Guest users must register at the library’s Help Desk each day for facility use.

  • Group study rooms are reserved for JCU students, faculty, and staff only.

  • Academic use of computers is limited to one hour per day, with one possible renewaif space and time allow.  Library staff will log guest users into the library system on available computers.  

  • Please note that during finals, space in the library is very limited.  A guest user may be asked to surrender a computer to John Carroll University students, faculty, or staff.

  • Black and white printing is available to guest users.  Payment for printing is made at the Help Desk -- 10 cents per side.

  • Faxing is limited to 5 pages -- $1 per page.

  • JCU Library staff (including student employees) reserve the right to ask guest patrons to leave at their discretion if necessary. Security will be called for disruptive behavior.
