Digital Archives

The University Archives maintains a presence on Carroll Collected, John Carroll's institutional repository, for public records, photographs, and publications. Some of the collections included there are listed on this page.

Also of interest, Georgetown University hosts a photographic archive for the Jesuit colleges and universities. John Carroll's contributions to these archives document key people and events that helped to shape the university.

Papal Coins and Medals

The core of The Papal Coins and Medals Collection has resided in John Carroll’s  University Archives for close to half a century.  The collection consists at this point of 85 pieces: 12 medals and 73 coins. The earliest coin in the collection is from the time of Charles of Anjou, Senator of Rome, dating from the latter half of the thirteenth century. The latest is a recent gift of a 2008 medal commemorating Benedict XVI.
