Purpose

The John Carroll University Archives house the non-current records of the university administration, faculty, and students who have been a part of the John Carroll Community as well as records having historical value to the university. These records are, for the most part, collected systematically, but occasionally by chance, in order to provide an accurate historical record of the activities of each part of the university. For each record group, the Archives preserves this content and documents the original structure and context in which it was created. This set of pages will describe what the Archives keeps, how to deposit records into the Archives, who may access records in the Archives and how to request that access.
