Academic Year 2021-2022 Summary

Dashboard of data and analysis for FY22

Different Spaces for Different Needs

From the Learning Commons to the Student Success Center to Nap Zones, the library provides physical space for many different activities. Special events supporting student wellness, scholarship, and entertainment also occur throughout the year. Students make extensive use of our group and individual study rooms, the Den coffee shop, and the computer commons. There is something for everyone at the library!

Rediscovering Library Spaces

With reduced pandemic restrictions, and additional services being housed in the library, we began to see a return to pre-COVID levels of visitors. The number of people entering the library building rose 384% over the prior year. This is actually an undercount, as the door counter was malfunctioning during the first 3 months of the year.

Learning Commons

The Learning Commons provided study tables and peer tutoring for many subjects. It's the most heavily used space in the library.

Special Use Spaces

The library offers spaces for a range of uses. This includes rooms that provide students with a respite from study such as the Interfaith Prayer Room (the most used special use room in the library), Nap Zones, and Relaxation Room. The Graduate Student Lounge was also a popular place for graduate students to study, work on projects, or take a break.
