Nearly three-quarters of the library's titles are electronic, making the vast majority of our collections available to the JCU community 24 hours a day, from anywhere in the world. Furthermore, items not immediately available from the library can be requested through Interlibrary Loan, making millions more books and articles available upon request.
Undergraduate students are the biggest users of the library's print collections. On average, undergrads check out at least one book every semester.
Students were able to access course materials at no additional cost to support learning outcomes and save money. Textbooks and materials put on reserve made up nearly half of all the physical items checked out from the library this year. The most popular textbook of the year was "Readings in Urban Economics" which was checked out 244 times!
The JCU community can borrow both physical and electronically delivered items from dozens of other institutions across the state through the OhioLINK consortium. The library also lends out materials to other schools as part of this benefit.
