Floor Information
- The Library Help Desk is the station where users check out and return library materials. Students must have a current valid university ID to check out materials. This is also the location to check out materials that have been placed on Reserve and Textbook Sharing for course assignments, Interlibrary Loan and OhioLink materials, and other items On Hold. Friendly staff people are available here to answer questions or to consult about research projects. A limited number of basic reference books are also located here.
- The Computer Commons is behind the Help Desk to the left, on the Grasselli side of the library, and is outfitted with PC and Mac computer workstations and laser color printers.
- Student Accessibility Services (SAS) is at the end of the corridor if you proceed directly ahead from the main entrance. This includes rooms for testing accommodations.
- The Den cafe is open on the Breen side of the building. There is swipe card access to the door on that side of the building between 8am-5pm. Otherwise, enter the main entrance and walk around.
- The Burton D. Morgan Entrepreneurship Classroom and Launchnet are on the 1st floor of Breen.
- The Curiosity Lab is the large space on the Breen first floor. There is a green room for video production, 3-D printer, scanners, and more to come.
- The CDM (Center for Digital Media) along the back wall has several computers with specialized multimedia software, including Apple workstations, a scanner, and a color printer to provide assistance for students preparing classroom presentations.
- New Books, Comics, Popular Reading and our DVD Collection are on this floor in the atrium just as you walk into the building. Check out something to read/view over weekends or breaks! DVD players are also available at the Help Desk.
- There is a Classroom space towards the rear of the Grasselli side of the building. This also has a smaller "breakout" room.
- A Lactation Room with comfortable seating, counter space, and a sink, is available at the far end of the computer commons. It may be used for other medical needs as well.
- ADA accessible Restrooms are available in the corridor directly in front of the main entrance. There are also accessible restrooms on the far end of the Breen side of the library on every floor, including gender neutral restrooms.
