Floor Information

  • Visitors enter Grasselli Library on this level (2nd floor).  The Library Help Desk is to the left and the Printing and Scanning Station is directly ahead. 
  • The Library Help Desk is the station where users check out and return library materials. Students must have a current valid university ID to check out materials. This is also the location to check out materials that have been placed on Reserve and Textbook Sharing for course assignments, Interlibrary Loan and OhioLink materials, and other items On Hold. Friendly staff people are available here to answer questions or to consult about research projects. A limited number of basic reference books are also located here.
  • Mastrantoni Family Student Success Center includes the Academic Success Center and the Center for Career Services, just to your right as you enter the library.
  • The Computer Commons overlooks the Kelley Reading Garden on the Grasselli side of the library, and is outfitted with 44 workstations and three laser color printers.
  • The Learning Commons is temporarily located on this floor, in front of you as you enter the building. Click the link to learn more about this collaborative learning space, with peer tutoring and study tables, wellness and study skills events, and other activities. Scanners are also located in this area, to send copies of materials to your email.
  • New Books, Comics, Popular Reading and our fiction DVD Collection are on this floor in the atrium just as you walk into the building. Check out something to read/view over weekends or breaks! DVD players are also available at the Help Desk.
  • The CDM (Center for Digital Media) along the back wall has several computers with specialized multimedia software, including Apple workstations, a scanner, and a color printer to provide assistance for students preparing classroom presentations.
  • Restrooms - all gender single-stall restrooms are located along the far West wall of Breen on every floor. Additional restrooms are at the back of the second level Grasselli side, on the first level near the bottom of the main stairway, and on the 3rd level near the top of the main stairway.
  • Group Study rooms, one with additional smart technology.
  • Vending machines are in a small room off this main corridor. 
  • Note: Administrative services previously on this level (includes consultation about student hiring in the library) is temporarily located on the 3rd floor. Ask at the Help Desk for directions. University Archives are also temporarily located on this floor.
