The Wall Street Journal at JCU

The Boler College of Business and Grasselli Library now provide full access to the Wall Street Journal digital version for the students, faculty, and staff of the John Carroll Community. You need to establish access once each academic year and you will have access until the beginning of the next academic year. You can also use the WSJ app on your phones and devices.

If your account is set up, click www.wsj.com/ to start reading.

Initial sign up instructions

1. You will need your JCU username and BannerID. You must sign up using your JCU email account. Do this initial sign-up while connected to the JCU Eduroam network (on campus) or via the VPN.

2. Go to WSJ.com/JohnCarroll.

3. Complete the form following these instructions:

  • Enter your first and last name.

  • For the Account Type, click the drop down arrow and choose Student, Faculty or Staff.

  • Enter your JCU email address.  If WSJ already has an account for your JCU email address, red text will appear under the E-mail box that says “It looks like you already have an account.  Please sign in here” Click on the word “here” and sign in on that screen with the password you have already set up. Just make sure your name appears in the response box.

  • Enter a password for your account, NOT your Banner ID.

  • If you want to be informed of updates & offers, check that box.

  • Check the “I agree …” box.

  • Click the Create button.

4. A Confirmation screen will appear with your Confirmation Number, and you can continue to the WSJ site.

5. Once you have created this account, you can access the Wall Street Journal directly at https://www.wsj.com/ using the email and password entered in the form above.  This account will be available until the end of this academic year.
