Grasselli Library and Breen Learning Center supports the JCU community with additional resources that might not be obvious. For example, you can check out top-notch video and photography equipment, or have you research published online for scholars from around the world to access.
The library partnered with ITS to become the main hub for long-term laptop checkouts. We also partnered with Information Technology Services and the Tim Russert Department of Communication to centralize the campus audio-visual equipment rental process at the Help Desk.
Students can use the library scanners to scan print materials and send the files directly to their email or Google Drive, which allows them to use materials outside the library that otherwise can't be checked out. Many students also use this service to reduce textbook costs by sharing a textbook or using the library's textbook sharing program.
Carroll Collected is a service the library provides to publish student and faculty research in an open access format. When copyright prevents full publication, we provide citations to the research. Researchers from around the world can download these publications, giving our community's scholarship global impact.
