From the Learning Commons to the Student Success Center to Nap Zones, the library provides physical space for many different activities. Students make extensive use of our group and individual study rooms, the Den coffee shop, and the computer commons. Our building partners, the Mastrantoni Family Student Success Commons, brought many students into the building to receive services with the Academic Success and Career Services teams, as well. The library has future partnerships planned with additional student services. There is something for everyone at the library!
The McDonough Reading Room is full of natural light with plenty of room to spread out. It's ideal for quiet study. |
The Den coffee shop in the library is a great place to take a break from studies and refuel! |
Students love the individual study pods that provide privacy and a view facing the window. |
There were over 350,000 visits made to the library building this year, by far the most ever recorded for Grasselli!
The Learning Commons provided study tables and peer tutoring for many subjects. It's the most heavily used space in the library, with students signing in over 1500 times during the year. Business courses accounted for the most visits, followed by sciences such as chemistry and math.
The library offers spaces for a range of uses. This includes rooms that provide students with a respite from study such as the Interfaith Prayer Room (the most used special use room in the library), Nap Zones, and Relaxation Room. The Graduate Student Lounge was also a popular place for graduate students to study, work on projects, or take a break.
